Bush fire burning northeast of Arborfield, Sask.

ARBORFIELD, Sask. – Ground crews and air tankers have been fighting a massive bush fire near Arborfield, Saskatchewan.

A member of the public phoned the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment to report the fire on Sunday around 11 a.m.

The wildfire is located approximately 30 kilometres northeast of Arborfield, Sask.

It is believed to be human-caused.

The ministry says there is no threat to nearby residents.

The fire was last estimated to be 235 hectares in size.

On Tuesday, ground crews were continuing to contain the perimeter of the fire.
