Focus Montreal introduces Montrealers to people who are shaping our community, bringing their stories into focus.

It airs on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and at midnight.

Take a look at who we’re meeting this week on Focus Montreal:

A star is born

Sara has been singing at home games along with Ginette Reno since the Habs began their hugely successful playoff run this year.

Coming out in Montreal

The Geography of Pluto” author Christopher DiRaddo joins us to discuss his debut novel.

The Montreal writer tackles some very tough topics in “Pluto,” among them coming out of the closet and getting over a first love.

He shares how Montreal’s Gay Village in the 1990’s has become the “third main character” in his novel.

 Of love and loss

And you’ll be treated to the absolutely beautiful voice of singer/songwriter Julie Crochetiere.

Her much anticipated 4th album “Counting Dreams” was released this week.

It features nine original songs and two covers in a soulful recording that tells a story of love and loss, of soaring hope and heartfelt determination.
