A woman was sexually assaulted on Como Lake Avenue in Coquitlam earlier this month, and a suspect is still at large.
It happened around 10:30 pm on May 1. They believed the attacker left the #169 bus at the same time as the woman around 10:15, following her for a short while before attacking. They were on Como Lake Avenue near Westwood Street when the assault happened, but the woman escaped injury. The suspect fled the scene westbound on Westwood Street.
She provided a description of the suspect to investigators, who have released a composite sketch. Police believe he is in his early 20’s, 5-foot-7 with a medium build, and has a dark complexion.
Coquitlam RCMP are asking anyone in the area at the time of the attack, or anyone who might recognize the suspect to contact them at 604-945-1550 and quote file 2014-11555.
