SHUSWAP — A 77 year old Chase man is dead after a boating accident on Neskonlith Lake.
Chase RCMP were called at 4 p.m. Monday after reports of an overturned boat, a 12′ aluminum rig.

Two men had been in it, one from Chase, the other from Calgary, and as they came back to shore one stood up, capsizing the small craft, the Calgary man was able to swim to shore but the other wasn’t.
Neither man was wearing a life jacket or PFD.
RCMP were able to recover the body, weather was good at the time and alcohol is not considered a factor.
