VANCOUVER – RCMP say they plan to step up patrols at Vancouver’s infamous Wreck beach this summer.
It’s all in an effort to curb drug overdoses and sexual behavior in public.

Officers say in recent years there has been an average of three calls a week to the beach for various issues.
Starting this summer they will set up a permanent tent on the beach with officers stationed there throughout the day from the May long weekend to Labour day.
