HALIFAX – Halifax police say they have laid additional charges following a violent scuffle on the weekend between two men in the city’s north end.
At first, police charged a 31-year-old man after a 19-year-old was stabbed on Jarvis Lane early Saturday.
The younger man was stabbed numerous times in the torso and later released from hospital.
Police say the 19-year-old has been subsequently arrested, adding that the other man had also been stabbed during the fight.
The two men face charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police say this was not a random incident, as the two men are known to each other.
