CALGARY- Part of a busy highway north of Calgary had to be shut down on Friday afternoon, following a tanker truck spill.
The semi tipped over in the southbound lanes of the QEII near Cross Iron Mills, spilling thousands of litres of motor oil.

As a result, Airdrie RCMP were forced to close part of the highway, to clean up the area.
Traffic was reduced to one lane, and was expected to stay that way for several hours.
