Finance Minister Doug Horner

The Alberta Government has officially approved its $43-billion dollar budget. It forecasts a $1.1 billion dollar  surplus in day-to-day spending but the infrastructure debt is pegged to hit $21 billion by 2017. The total has come under harsh criticism from the opposition. Finance Minister Doug Horner discusses the issue.

Food Security

A conference is underway in Edmonton looking at food secuiryt. The University of Alberta is helping out on an international stage with a project that makes dependable and affordable food sources available to families in developing nations.
