AYLESFORD, N.S. – Police in the Annapolis Valley say two youths are facing charges following two suspicious building fires.

RCMP say fire units responded Sunday to a fire in an abandoned barn on Highway 1 in Aylesford.

Police say while responding to the call they noticed another fire in an abandoned house a short distance away. Both buildings were destroyed.

A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old are facing charges including two counts of arson and one count of break and enter, and police say more charges are possible.

One of the accused is scheduled to appear in a Kentville courtroom Monday morning, while the other was released from custody and is due back in court in July.
