TORONTO – A two-alarm fire broke out on the Danforth early Monday morning.
Crews arrived on the scene near Danforth and Dawes road just before 4.a.m.

The fire reportedly started in the basement of a restaurant where crews found heavy smoke and fire in the electrical room.
Residents in nearby apartments were escorted from their homes.
The fire was knocked down around 5:30 a.m. and there were no injuries.
