UPDATE: Two men found guilty of murder in shooting death of northern Saskatchewan teen
PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – Prince Albert police are interviewing witnesses and following up on leads as they continue to search for a suspect following the city’s first murder of 2014.
The investigation was launched following a shooting on April 14.
Clayton James Bear, 17, was found in the 500-block of 27th Street East suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at Victoria Hospital.
An autopsy was completed last week in Saskatoon. Due to the investigation, specific details surrounding Bear’s death are not being released.
On April 17, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 1900-block of Central Avenue. This building was identified in relation to the homicide.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Investigators say there is nothing to suggest that Bear’s murder stemmed from a drug-related shooting that occurred April 3 in the city.
