Lai Changxing, China’s most wanted man, will be going back despite concerns he may be tortured or executed upon his return.
Federal Judge Michel Shore refused a request to stay Changxing’s deportion on Thursday evening.
China was seeking the extradition of Changxing, who is accused of runninga multibillion-dollar smuggling operation in China in the 1990s.
Changxing fled to Canada in 1999 and was living in Vancouver.
