Fire destroyed a mobile home in the northeast early Saturday morning.
Crews were called to Huntwell Place NE around 3 a.m.
They arrived to find flames shooting from the residence.
Firefighters were able to quickly douse the flames and stop the fire from spreading to nearby homes, but they say the wind was a concern.
“With the wind that’s blowing right now, we were quite concerned with the neighbouring houses,” says Battalion Chief Tim Minue. “There was a little bit of smoke in the neighbour’s house, but they’re ok … there’s no damage to their house.”
Fire investigators say the home was vacant.
