RCMP warn of a computer scam

The RCMP is advising people to be aware of a “computer virus” scam currently affecting Saskatchewan residents.

The scam will involve the victim getting a phone call claiming to be from a computer company.

The suspects will offer to fix the virus for the victim if they download a program from the internet, Once the victim downloads the program it will allow the suspect complete access to your computer including all of there personal information including credit cards

So far a few Saskatchewan residents have been affected by this scam.

If you have suffered from this scam you should report the incident to the RCMP.
