Missing Canora, Sask. man found dead

RCMP say they have found the body of a missing man from Canora, Saskatchewan on Sunday evening.

Police located the body of the missing 38-year-old Byron Chayeski at approximately 6:00 p.m., near Gorlitz, Saskatchewan.

He was last seen in Canora on Friday before his intended trip to Yorkton. Chayeski was assumed to be returning the same day but never made contact with anyone.

On Sunday, Canora RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle southwest of Goritz, Saskatchewan.

RCMP are investigating but say foul play is not suspected with the incident.

Gorlitz is approximately 20 km south of Canora and on the way to Yorkton.
