WINNIPEG – Police believe three men stole dressing room keys at the MTS Iceplex, copied them and returned them – then later used the copies to steal from hockey players.
A Crime Stoppers video re-enactment released Tuesday shows men grabbing the keys off hooks in empty dressing rooms, then later returning with copies of the keys to rifle through pockets and bags, taking money, credit cards and identification.
The three men went into the Iceplex at about 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 17, police allege, and went into several empty dressing rooms and took the keys. They returned an hour later and put them back where they found them.

They left but returned again about three hours later, when the dressing rooms were in use by players who had locked the rooms and felt their belongings were secure.
The men used their copies to enter the locked rooms and commit the thefts, then used the stolen credit cards shortly afterward to buy items at nearby stores.
Surveillance cameras captured images of three men who police believe are the thieves.
Anyone with information about the thefts or who recognizes the men is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
