Three people facing charges following Vancouver Island stolen credit card investigation

Three people are facing charges on Vancouver Island in connection with a stolen credit card investigation.

As part of an investigation looking into the fraudulent use of stolen credit and bank cards, police searched a home in the 3600 block of Vitality Road in West Shore on March 20. Two suspects, Geoffrey Agnew and Erin McCann, were arrested and are now facing 14 charges relating to fraud, possession of stolen property, breach of court orders and firearm offences.

Following the initial search, a third suspect was identified and on March 26 a second search was done at a home in the 3300 block of Mary Anne Crescent. The resident, Ryan Fletcher, was arrested and faces six charges.

Police seized more than 100 items from both homes which included: computers, cell phones, jewellery, WWII memorabilia, stacks of stolen identity and financial cards, a police scanner, tablets, marijuana, methamphetamine, knives, swords, firearms and body armour.

The recovered items have been linked to 17 police files spanning six jurisdictions on Vancouver Island.

Police are continuing their investigation and said there will be numerous additional charges forwarded to the Crown against the three accused.
