SASKATOON – Warrants have been issued for a woman who allegedly defrauded several people in Saskatoon.
Melissa Weatherbee, 31, is accused of approaching people between November 2013 and February 2014 and saying she needed to borrow money for an emergency.

Weatherbee would then convince the victim to allow her to deposit a cheque in the victim’s bank account for more than the amount owed and then withdraw the excess cash.
Those cheques were later found to be counterfeit.
Most of the victims were approached in their homes in the area of Avenue B North.
Weatherbee is 5’3”, around 140 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
