TORONTO — Know an outstanding Canadian who deserves to be inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame?
The nomination process for this year’s honourees kicked off Tuesday.
Canada’s Walk of Fame is looking for people who have excelled in music, film, television, literature, visual and performing arts, science and innovation and sports.
Nominees must have been born in Canada or spent their formative years in the country; have a minimum of 10 years of experience in their field; and have had a national or international impact.
Nominations will be accepted until April 30. An induction gala will be held Oct. 18 in Toronto and broadcast at a later date on Global.
Last year, more than 30,000 nominations were submitted from people in over 130 countries.
Among those selected were Alan Thicke, Victor Garber and soccer star Christine Sinclair.
