ST. ANTHONY, N.L. – People in St. Anthony, N.L., are being warned to watch for polar bears following a sighting in the area over the weekend.

The Natural Resources Department said Monday the bear has moved away from the area but they were monitoring its movements.

They say anyone who sees a polar bear should remain calm, give the bear space, avoid eye contact and back away without running.
