AURORA, Ont. – York Regional Police will reveal more details today of a yearlong weapons investigation dubbed “Project Tugboat.”
Police say they have already seized guns, ammunition, controlled substances and money after executing a series of search warrants across the Greater Toronto Area.
Members of the guns and gangs unit will hold a news conference later today at police headquarters in Aurora, north of Toronto.
Ontario Provincial Police, along with police forces in Durham, Toronto and Hamilton and the Canada Border Services Agency were all involved in the investigation.
