WATCH: Creighton coach gives emotional post-game speech after crushing defeat

The Creighton Bluejays suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Baylor in the round of 32 at the NCAA basketball tournament on Sunday.

But it’s what happened after the game that has generated a lot of positive buzz, particularly for Head Coach Greg McDermott.

McDermott wasn’t going to let the defeat define the season for his players, especially the seniors, and he let them know it in the powerful and emotional post-game speech he delivered.

“You guys have raised the bar for our basketball program,” he told the deflated locker room. “You guys have been mentors to so many people; you have no idea.”
