A man convicted of sexual assault and aggravated assault has been released from jail.
Winston George Thomas, 36, was released from Headingley Correctional Centre on Friday.
Police say he is considered a high risk sex offender.
In March 2007, Thomas and two other men met up with a woman in Winnipeg. The three men took her to a home, drank liquor and smoked marijuana and kept her from leaving. Thomas then engaged in a sexual act with the woman.
