SASKATOON – Three teens are in custody after a failed attempt to steal a pickup truck in Saskatoon early Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the 100-block of Rupert Drive around 2:40 a.m. after a person saw three people attempting to drive away in the neighbour’s truck.
The truck became stuck in a snowbank and the trio took off on foot.
A responding patrol officer spotted the three near Warman Road and Circle Drive and took them into custody.
An 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old female are facing charges of obstructing a peace officer.
A second 15-year-old is facing two breach of condition charges.
Charges are pending for attempted auto theft.
