<p>FREDERICTON – Emergency measures officials in New Brunswick say they are encouraged by diminishing flow into the St. John River which has reached flood peak in several areas.</p> <p>Karl Wilmot, spokesman for the province’s River Watch program, says gauges all along the system show the input from several tributaries is dropping.</p> <p>Wilmot says water levels appear to have stabilized along the length of the river but it will be sometime next week before there’s a noticeable drop.</p> <p>The St. John’s only outlet is the Bay of Fundy, and only at low tide.</p> <p>Wilmot says he’s encouraged by the forecast for the next few days which shows little to no precipitation.</p> <p>No one had been forced from their home by rising waters but at least one road remained closed in the Maugerville and Sheffield area along Route 105.</p>
