Halifax police search for suspect after convenience store robbed at knifepoint

<p>HALIFAX – Halifax police are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery at a convenience store.</p> <p>Police say they responded to a 911 call from the Needs store on Highfield Park Drive just before 7 a.m. today.</p> <p>Officers arrived at the scene and were told a man believed to be around 20-years-old had approached the female clerk with a knife.</p> <p>He began to fill a garbage can with cigarettes before fleeing on foot in the direction of Pinecrest Drive.</p> <p>Police say no one was hurt in the incident.</p>
