Canucks fever is sweeping the valley and it appears one Okanagan business has been hit hard.
Predator Ridge near Vernon has changed their name to Canucks Ridge in support of the Vancouver hockey team.
Two local radio hosts started the petition for the name change, and Doug Goubalt, director of golf at the resort says the business wanted to take advantage of the rare opportunity.
Goubalt says all the golf flags now say Canucks Ridge and the 18th fairway now has the Canucks logo.
All 35 staff members have also turned in their uniforms to instead sport Canuck colours.
For every goal the team makes, the resort will make a $25 donation to the Canucks Place Children’s Hospice, an agreement they’ve made with the team in exchange for being able to use their name.
Canucks Ridge will go back to Predator Ridge after the series is done.
However, staff will continue to wear their Canucks’ jerseys until their team hopefully wins the Stanley Cup.
