VERNON — A Vernon police officer has been ordered to stand trial in B.C. Supreme Court on child porn charges.

Ryan Hampton, 35, had a hearing Tuesday and when it was determined there is enough evidence  to go to trial.

He’s facing nine charges in all, including possession of child porn, obstruction of justice, and six of failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.

Hampton was suspended from duty with the RCMP after his arrest last June.

He’s to appear in court April 14th to fix a trial date.
