Armed gunmen rob hotel in Vanscoy, Saskatchewan - image

RCMP are looking for two suspects after the hotel in Vanscoy, Saskatchewan was robbed Tuesday morning.

Police say two men, one armed with appeared to be a long barrelled firearm, entered the hotel’s lounge around 11:20 a.m. and demanded cash. An employee turned over an undisclosed amount of money and the robbers then escaped in a waiting vehicle.

Officers recovered the vehicle a short time later.

The first suspect is described as possibly being aboriginal, 5’5″ with a medium build and wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is 6’0″ and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. Both men were wearing masks.

No one was injured and RCMP continue to investigate.

Vancosy is 30 km southwest of Saskatoon.
