Regina’s cab prices don’t discriminate anymore

REGINA – Whether you’re calling a accessible or regular taxi, the price for service is now the same.

Six members of our community stood up in front of city council to make their case for the equal pricing.

They say no one should have to pay more for an accessible cab.

Before Thursday evening, the price to get into an accessible taxi was $7, compared to $3.80 for regular service.

That all changed when council voted to post the price at $4 across the board.

And, the per metre rate for cabs went from 10 cents per 60 metres to 10 cents per 57 metres.
