Great Britain defeats Switzerland for women’s curling bronze in Sochi

Great Britain has won the bronze medal in women’s curling in Sochi.

The British team, skipped by Eve Muirhead, defeated Switzerland 6-5 in the bronze medal game on Thursday.

It was a close game – the teams were tied 5-5 going into the 10th end. But Muirhead shot a draw onto the button to take the end, and an Olympic medal.

Jennifer Jones’ Canadian team plays Sweden in the gold-medal game at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time (5:30 a.m. Pacific).
