Back in the day, supper clubs were one stop dining and entertainment destinations that served as luxurious backdrops to fine cuisine, sexy jazz sounds and romantic rendezvous. Today, Toronto’s newest supper club, the Roosevelt Room, captures the essence and glamour of those fabulous dinner clubs of days gone by. HGTV.ca's Vanessa and I ventured out to this new dining establishment to sample some of Executive Chef Trevor Wilkinson’s signature menu items and to experience the swanky art deco interiors designed by HGTV’s Designer Guys’ design firm, the Design Agency (read Vanessa’s post on hgtv.ca for more about the Roosevelt Room’s design).
The Roosevelt Room's menu is comprised of refined modern French fare that's inspired by the premiere Academy Awards event that was hosted by Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel in 1929. From appealing appetizers, magnificent mains, and delectable desserts to sexy signature cocktails, the Roosevelt Room’s menu has something for everyone. The quality of the food was top notch and Chef Wilkinson’s personal gourmet touch took each dish to the next level, as each and every morsel was infused with mouth watering aromas and addictive full-flavoured taste pleasures – literally, every bite started a party in my mouth and left me craving more!
