An intense fire ravaged a condo building overnight Thursday in Vaudreuil-Dorion, west of Montreal island.
The blaze was reported just after 1:30 a.m. on Jean-Claude Tremblay Avenue, said Claude Denis, a spokesman for the provincial police.
Nobody was injured in the blaze but about a dozen residents were evacuated.
Some occupants of a nearby building were also evacuated as a precaution.
Mr. Denis said the cause of the fire remains unknown for now but the building is a total loss.
