Weather conditions may have contributed to a double fatal collision Monday afternoon on Lougheed highway in Deroche.
Two people were killed when their vehicle went over an an embankment near Brooks Road.
Officials say a 56-year-old man from Lake Errock lost control of his Ford Escort when he was driving westbound on the highway. A 73-year-old man from Yale, the passenger in the vehicle, also died despite the efforts of emergency responders.
Names of the deceased are not being released until next of kin are notified.
