His body was found on a walking path near the Lougheed Town Centre around 7:30 p.m.

IHIT says although a motive is yet to be confirmed, this occurrence is not being considered a random incident and does not appear to be gang related.

The cause of death, injuries and if there is any suspect information is not being released at this time.

“IHIT continues to work with investigators from the Burnaby RCMP to piece together the story of what occurred on Thursday evening,” said Sgt. Adam MacIntosh of IHIT.
