The boy, believed to be 13-years-old, was struck at McCowan Road and Bur Oak Avenue shortly before 7 p.m., York Regional Police said.

Police said the intersection at McCowan Road and Bur Oak Avenue will be shut down for several hours while Collision Investigation Unit investigates the incident.
