“Upon arrival crews found a garage which was attached to a townhouse complex fully involved with fire,” says KFD platoon captain, Dennis Miller.

“Quick action by the suppression personnel confined the fire to the garage area of the complex. One male was treated by BCAS for burns and transported to KGH.”

Miller says the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.

The occupants of the complex are now in the care of Emergency Social Services.

On Monday, a young boy had to be taken to hospital for smoke inhalation after fire broke out at a home on Fleming Street in Rutland.

The cause of that fire is also under investigation.
