Vancouver Canucks’ coach John Tortorella, and a few Canucks players, have been given the auto-tune treatment.
The video, posted to YouTube, outlines the events surrounding the fight that kicked off last month’s game against Calgary. Tortorella was then suspended without pay for six games after he got into an altercation outside the Flames dressing room.
Mirro and Joel (who only wanted their first names used), of the group ‘anonymotif’, decided to auto-tune what happened that game and the video has already received more than 35,000 views in one day.
Surprisingly the duo are not Vancouver Canucks fans but they were inspired by the events of what happened.
“It’s a really polarizing issue, but we tried to stay really neutral,” said Mirro.
“I watched that game, it was such a confluence of events. Really comical but at the same time it was really polarizing for anyone who watched it.”
Mirro said from the feedback so far it appears Vancouver Canucks fans have really enjoyed the video.
“It’s been really cool to see that reception,” he said.
