Queen Elizabeth II steps out wearing Saskatchewan brooch

TORONTO — Queen Elizabeth II stepped out Sunday with a little bit of prairie glamour.

Her Majesty wore a one-of-a-kind brooch designed by Regina-based jeweller Hillberg & Berk and presented to her last October at Buckingham Palace by Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governor Vaughn Solomon Schofield.

The floral design is set in 18k white gold and features Madagascar tourmaline, a white freshwater pearl and 300 diamonds.

According to the jeweller, the brooch is worth $15,000.

The Queen wore the brooch while attending Sunday church services in London.
