Correctional Service Canada says a convicted killer has been recaptured after an escape from a prison in Quebec’s Laurentians region.
Richard Plourde was apprehended by the Sûreté du Québec around 3:40 p.m. Monday; Plourde was discovered missing from his minimum security unit at about 11 p.m. Sunday.
The 62-year-old has been serving a life sentence for second-degree murder at Archambault Institution.
