HALIFAX – Nova Scotia RCMP say a man involved in a single vehicle crash on Highway 207 in the Halifax area is in critical condition.

Police said in an earlier news release the man had died.

In a subsequent news release, the Mounties said initial reports suggested the man succumbed to injuries from the 10:35 a.m. crash in the community of Seaforth.

The RCMP say paramedics later noticed a pulse as the man was being taken to Dartmouth General Hospital.

The 50-year-old man has been transferred to QE II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
