The Liberals have rolled out a two-year, $8-billion budget-style platform that shifts government spending to Canadian households and nation-building projects while raising taxes on the business sector.
The 94-page document promises to make permanent a home energy retrofit program, assist family caregivers, create a community "Heroes Fund" for fallen firefighters and peace officers, and fund a new Canada Service Corps.
