Kelowna Hells Angels clubhouse raid guilty plea

KELOWNA – The police raided the Hells Angels Kelowna club house in August 2012.

On Tuesday, one of the eight men arrested pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

The raid was part of a 20 month investigation into an alleged drug conspiracy network that resulted in police seizing more than $4 million in cash and firearms.

It’s alleged money from Okanagan marijuana grow-ops was being used by the Hells Angels to bring 500 kilograms of cocaine into Canada.

Orhan Saydam, an associate of the biker gang, will be sentenced in April.

The trial for the other seven men is set for September in Vancouver.
