Southwestern United Kingdom continues to struggle with floods

Watch the raw video above: Residents in Somerset struggle with rising water.

As the U.S. and Canada battle the cold, the parts of the United Kingdom continue to battle back rising water.

Many areas across the U.K. have been experiencing higher than normal precipitation.

One of the hardest hit areas has been Somerset, England, where floodwaters have forced many out of their homes.

Pumping stations have been trying to return water back into the nearby River Parett after weeks of heavy rain.

Worse still, the Met Office, the U.K.’s meteorological organization, has issued a “yellow warning” of rain for the area over the coming days, calling for 20 to 30 mm of rain with some 40 mm in higher ground.
