A 25-year-old man has died in a workplace accident in Riverview, N.B., according to RCMP.
Police say they were called to the site on Coverdale Road at around 12:30 p.m. Monday.
The man, who RCMP say was wearing safety equipment, was working on a cellular tower when he fell.
He was taken to hospital by emergency services and was later pronounced dead.

An investigation is being conducted by WorkSafeNB, which confirms the worker was employed by WesTower Communications and was conducting repairs at the time of the incident.
The president of WesTower, Nathan Schauerte, told Global News that emergency personnel responded to the site and no additional injuries were reported.
“Our immediate priority is the safety and well-being of our employees and their families. We are focused on providing support to the affected crew and we are working in partnership with appropriate authorities to investigate the circumstances that lead to this incident,” he wrote in an email.

A statement from Bell said the man was a contractor who was working on one of the company’s wireless towers.
“We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Our team is working with the contractor’s employer to understand the circumstances surrounding this tragic event,” the statement read.
