TORONTO — Grammy producers were left red-faced when the name of Canadian actor Cory Monteith was misspelled during Sunday’s “In Memoriam” segment.
Monteith died last summer of a drug and alcohol overdose in a Vancouver hotel room.
The Alberta-born, B.C.-raised Glee star was 31.
The actor’s surname was spelled “Montieth” on the video screens showing artists who passed away in the last year.
So far, there’s been no apology or explanation from the Grammy producers.
The error sparked fan fury on social media.
