2 Vancouver elementary schools evacuated following threats

Two Vancouver-area elementary schools had to be evacuated this morning following a few threats against the schools.

Const. Brian Montague with the Vancouver Police says at about 11:30 a.m. police were informed of a threat in relation to Bruce Elementary on Tanner Street near Boundary Road.

Then, about 15 minutes later, police were informed of another threat regarding Grenfell Elementary on Wellington Avenue near Rupert Street.

As a precaution, all of the staff and students from both schools are safe and were moved to another location.

They have since been given the all-clear and returned to their schools.
