Ginetta, a female giraffe, was born at the Toronto Zoo in 1983 and celebrated her 30th birthday last August.

Zoo officials say she lived longer than 96 per cent of the female Masai giraffes in the North American population.

Fans and animal lovers are encouraged to share their memories of Ginetta on the zoo’s Facebook page.
