The bus then pitched onto its side.

Officials from Sun West School Division were called to the scene and the parents were notified. The children continued on to school in another bus.

Mounties say the bus was going well below the speed limit and icy road conditions were to blame for the rollover.

Sun West School Division has suspended buses in the Biggar and Landis areas for the remainder of Wednesday due to slippery road conditions and gusting winds.
