MONTREAL – Officials are continuing their investigations after a section of the Trans-Canada highway was closed due to falling debris on Monday.

A Transports Quebec inspection report from July 2012 for the Hymus/Henri-Bourassa eastbound overpass along the Trans-Canada Highway 40 has flagged many causes for concern, including several areas along the structure showing “significant disintegration” and “very large fissures.”
